About the Artist

Meet the artist behind SpektralMuse Studio. Affectionately known as Muse, she is a contemporary mixed-media artist whose work explores simplicity, emotion, and quiet beauty. Holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Academy of Art University in San Francisco, she creates modern, expressive artwork inspired by the human form and the often-overlooked moments of everyday life.

Her practice moves between two distinct bodies of work — Textured Abstractions and Figurative Studies — two ways of asking the same question: what happens when you slow down and really look.

Textured Abstractions are built from layered washes, graphite, and worn, weathered marks — restrained palettes that reward a second look. She's drawn to the tension between structure and erosion: a loose grid or line holding a composition together while the surface underneath feels like it's been through something.

Figurative Studies take that same interest in texture and mood into portraiture — richer color, more saturated grounds, a more narrative hand. Working with acrylics, collage, pastel, and charcoal, she combines texture, form, and subtle layers to create pieces that feel both contemporary and deeply personal. Where the abstractions ask you to sit with ambiguity, the figures ask you to sit with a person.

Both series are rooted in softness, restraint, and healing — minimal compositions that evoke feeling rather than dictate meaning. Each piece is intentionally designed to leave space for interpretation, reflection, and a sense of calm.

Her work is currently featured at San Francisco Women Artists Gallery and available on Artsy, Saatchi Art and is held in private collections across North America, including New York, California, Nevada, and Pennsylvania.
